James Joseph
Agar-Leigh
Brother · Dancer · Teacher · Forever in our hearts
JJ started his dance career in Rhyl, North Wales, performing from an early age alongside Danny La Rue and Linda Nolan. He won many British and European Championship competitions in Freestyle Dance, and at just 11 years old won the prestigious National Eisteddfod.
At 16, JJ was awarded a full scholarship to Performers College in London, graduating with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance. He went on to perform at some of the world's greatest venues — the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre, Sadler's Wells, the London Palladium — and appeared on television alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment.
After travelling the world, JJ returned to his roots in Rhyl to give back his knowledge and passion to the next generation of dancers. Sadly we lost our beloved JJ in December 2019. JJ's Studios is named in his memory and honour — and everything we do is dedicated to keeping his legacy alive.
"The dance world lost an incredible talent, an amazing teacher and the best possible role model any child could ever have." — Natasha & Tara

Sister of JJ Agar-Leigh · Co-Founder
Tara began performing at the tender age of two in various dance schools across North Wales and Liverpool, studying Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Freestyle. This gave her the opportunity to take her ISTD and RAD dance exams and perform in many competitions, shows and pantomimes.
Tara started performing professionally at just four years old, performing alongside Danny La Rue and Linda Nolan. On numerous occasions she won the Welsh National Eisteddfod in Freestyle Dance and appeared on S4C doing so. At 12, Tara was selected to become a Junior Associate at The Urdang Dance Academy in London, travelling monthly for four years to train with some of London's top directors and choreographers.
During this time Tara also performed in numerous professional pantomimes as a juvenile dancer working for Qdos and UK Productions. At 16 she was awarded a full scholarship to one of London's most prestigious performing arts colleges — Millennium Performing Arts, under the direction of Donald McLennan, Ikky Maas and Jackie Mitchell. After three years of training, Tara graduated with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance and obtained her ISTD and RAD teaching qualifications.
After graduating, Tara travelled the world on prestigious cruise liners — performing and assisting with choreography on the Ocean Majesty with Sapphire Entertainment Company, and later on the P&O Oriana with Headliners Theatre Company. Tara has now returned to her hometown to give back her knowledge of the professional industry as a dancer, singer, choreographer and fitness instructor — teaching the young stars of today.
